Stretch Your Stamps 2 Kissing (I cheated)

I admit I cheated lol, no kissing on my card, that's because I don't really have many graphic stamps and the ones I had were already patterned :). I did like the effect though. Again I have used the Fiskars Shapes N' Such set with Distress Inks in Mustard Seed, Tumbled Glass, Milled Lavender, Spiced Marmalade and Spun Sugar, the sentiment is from TPC Studio, stamped in Archival ink.

Stretch Your Stamps 2 Watercolour Spotlight

Hi we are at the bonus day and the final stretch of Stretch Your Stamps 2 at Online Card Classes. Panicking a bit as I have 6 cards still to make (I wanted to do more but time is of the essence lol) in the next 24 hours lol. Sorry in advance for the glut of close together posts!

So the storu behind this card and the next one is that I had a specific stamp set I wanted to use that I put somewhere so I could find it . . . and promptly lost it lol. I had to borrow some stamps off my friend to do this one, but may after class finishes now that I found my stamps in a spot I looked five times I will make this card with my original vision.

I have used Stazon Jet Black to stamp my stamps, the sentiment is from Kaisercraft and the flowers are freebies off a mag I think but I'm not really sure. I used Dylusions, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists and a home made glimmer mist as well. Oh and it's on Ranger Watercolor Cardstock, my new fave watercolour cs! I need to get the hang of this technique a bit more.

Super Quick Card Using MME's State Of The Heart Papers and Die Cuts

Hi everyone, just a quick Valentines Day card tonight. I think it would also make a nice anniversary card. I threw this one together in about 20 minutes one morning before I had to go out. The MME State of the Heart paper pack came with a sheet of die cut elements that helped make this card a super quick one. (I know, I know, there is a pearl missing! It has since been re-attached). I really let the die cuts do the talking :)
I selected two die cuts from the die cut sheet, I added a heart in Fired Brick Distress ink to the top and bottom of the middle layer and then rounded the top right and bottom left corner of each piece. I selected a co-ordinating pp and did the same as we as to the cream card base. I stuck my layers on one at a time starting with the bottom pieces. At this point I thought it looked to plain and I added some bling to give it a lift. Clear rhinestones top and bottom and teeny pearl bling to the hearts on the middle die cut . . . Note to self . . . Add the bling before the foam tape lol, that's why I lost one.
Anyways super late here so I best get some sleep! Expect another post tomorrow of a card I couldn't show until the recipient received it lol. It uses the MME papers again and a color scheme I've not used before!

Kissed By an Angel with KaiserCrafts Made With Love

It's the Purple teams turn over on Eclectic Ellapu and this weeks theme is use a die cut heart. Mine ended up getting very hidden so I added some extras lol. I used a whole bunch of die companies on here . . . Hope there is no rule against mixing them up!
I started with KaiserCrafts Made With Love Collection (I snapped this up on clearance at a LSS), selecting the papers I wanted to use. I then did some colour matching with my Copics and Promarkers and stamped Connie Fongs Kissed By An Angel Sweet Pea stamp with Memento ink onto Neenah Solar White.
I then die cut the image and my first two layers using Spellbinders Ornate Artisan Tags and Accents. Now here is where I go into trouble as you will see in the pic. I hadn't actually crafted at home for a while and didn't realise my craft sheet wasn't totally clean :( As I edged my image with Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink I swiped up some blue off my mat :( For the bottom layer I snipped off the long end pieces before I inked the edges as you can see in the pic. I used foam tape on under the image and double sided tape under the matting piece.
Next I die cut Lifestyle Crafts Heart Insert surrounded by a Nesting Lace Heart die from red foil cs. I saved all the little hearts for other projects as well as adding some to this one. I had to use the metal shim in my Ebosser to get this die to cut through the thick card stock. I glued the heart down with Matte Accents.
Next I used a Sizzix Sizzlit die called Ribbon Insert. My cat loves Sizzlis, if she sees one around she thinks it's fair game and claws it! Good thing they still work with claw marks in them :)Very hard paper to take a pic of! I inked the edges of this piece with Milled Lavender. I used foam tape on this layer as well.
To hide my mess I grabbed some I Am Roses flowers and coloured them with distress stains in Milled Lavender, Wild Honey, Spun Sugar, Squeezed Lemonade and Barn door. I then spritzed them with homemade pearl mist (come on a girl's gotta have some sparkle, right?).
Next up I cut a piece of pp for the background and rounded the corners of the pp and the card base as well. I inked the edges of both with Milled Lavender and adhered the background with doublesided tape. I used matte accents to adhere my flowers and twizzles to the card as well as the cute lil hearts I saved from earlier.
Not totally sure how I feel about this one. I do know I think my colouring is coming along nicely :) Practice makes perfect right? Well till I kill it by swiping the wrong colours about the place! Flowers make everything better is becoming my motto I think . . .

Have a Blast with Sizzix

Hi

Today I am showing you a cute rocket card I made show casing Sizzix Hot Rocketz stamps. I started by stamping my images onto white cs with Jet Black Stazon and then colouring with different pitt artist markers. I added the shadows with the same coloured marker once the first layer was dry. I then cut them all out and added some foam tape.

For the background I used all of the different stars in the packet on a stamp block and stamped with the yellow big brush marker. I filled in the gaps with some of the smaller stamps. The sentiments are stamped with  markers and then cut out with ovals from lifestyle crafts. Both layers are raised with foam tape to give them even more dimension.

Hope you enjoyed my Boy birthday card. I think it turned out really well :)

Girls Birthday Card with KaiserCraft Candy Lane

I hope you like pink lol. My daughters fave colour is pink. We are going to her friends birthday tomorrow and   my 8 year old dd wanted to make her a card just from her :). So I was thinking the Authentique Uncommon pad. My dd saw the Kaiser Candy Lane and we were off and running lol.

We used the largest Lifestyle Crafts Blossom die to cut the card base. As you can see in the pic we folded the card base and hung a petal over the edge of the fold to create and opening card. Around this dd blended Worn Lipstick Distress Ink.

She then chose the orange with pink foil paper for the next layer cut with the next size down Blossom die. On top of this we layered another pp with cupcakes and cherries on it. Out of the teapot pp we used a punch to cut some butterflies and stuck them around the outside of the circle with matte accents.

With a green flowered pp we cut a small circle and she Chose the Happy Birthday sticker to go on top. The sticker in the middle of the middle butterfly was originally on the circle but it fell off and got lost for a bit so dd decided on some pink hearts instead :) (I found it and stuck it in the middle of the pink butterfly)

We put the circle on the card to see how it looked and didn't like it. We cut a plain circle and the butterfly circle from Spellbinders. Of course after we embossed the butterflies with the tan mat dd had to have the butterfly circle as her mat. She inked the edges with more worn lipstick and then stuck the pp circle on top. She then used some foam tape to lift it off the page a little and front of card was done :)

A coordinating stack, a few stickers and dies make for a quick and easy card :). Not bad for an 8 yr old at all...
Thanks for stopping by.
