This is possibly my last card for today, somebody has to clean do the housework and go shopping, eek (forgot about the shopping!). I need more hours in the day haha!
I used Spellbinders A2 Divine Eleoquence and Fancy Framed Framed Tags One. The sentiment is from House of Mouse, Mice Wishes by Stampendous and is stamped with Archival Jet Black ink. The string is from Hemptique.

Watercolor For Cardmakers Intermediate Day Six - Dipped Florals Card
These are the quick and easy flowers Jenifer showed us on the last day of class. I wanted to keep the card pretty clean and simple.
I made two cards very quickly.
I rounded the corners with my WRMK Corner Chomper and mounted the panel on an Xcut die cut. I stamped the sentiment from Hero Arts Birthday Sayings in Archival Jet Black ink.
Thanks for taking the time to look!

AquaMarker Play Time
Sooooo i got the whole set of AquaMarkers for Christmas :) How lucky am I? I decided to have a play so these are just me exploring the aquamarkers.
Stampendous Amaryllis
and Hero Arts Large Flower Background.
So hopefully when I use these on some cards I will have something pretty to show you :) Our DT has been all shook up so my card for that won't post til next week . . . but as a sneak peak . . .
How gorgeous is that stamp . . . I got it free in a mag. OK, so the only reason I got the mag was for the stamp, lol.

A little Sketchy With Cosmo Cricket
I started with this image that I stamped in Archival and coloured with a mix of Inktense and Staedler watercolour pencils. I then chose three patterned papers from the Crate Papers Clementine stack to follow this sketch with. I bought this stack to challenge myself to use papers I wouldn't normally.
For the background layer I chose chevrons, my strip is stripes and instead of a wavy border I chose a piece of paper from the stack that had skinny border like images on it and cut out the one with the flowers and adhered it to the stripy paper. I added a teeny dot of red Liquid Pearls to the middle of each of those flowers.
Next I chose a red and a green Prima flower and glued them together and onto the card. I added some perfect pearls to the middle of them too. Then I had a teeny accident and had to add the green flower which made the card unbalanced so I added the red one as well and added liquid pearls to the middle of these too lol. I hand cut the banner and used my Martha Stewart score board to score where wanted the folds to be. I used a triple layer of foam tape in the middle to pop it off the card. The sentiment is from Mpress stamped with Vermillion archival.

Ecraft Angry Birds Card Using FREE Svg's
A young relative of mine had a birthday a couple of days ago and he is really into angry birds. I searched the net and found a bunch of angry bird svg's free by The Lady Wolf. As his cake was going to be the red and yellow birds I decided I would make those two as well. I opened them in SCAL 3 and resized them all as one before cutting and pasting each different colour section into new window. In hindsight I wish I had made them a little bigger lol. Also cutting two birds at once was fun because then I had to sort out their respective pieces lol.
Having played the game before I wanted the background to look a bit like the game as well rather than using patterned papers. So I used a free grass svg from Pigtails and Paper Trails and another free svg from Bird. I'd seriously recommend checking out what else these lovely ladies have! I just saw the grass under the clouds Bird has. I hadn't grabbed it yet :O lol. To assemble the back gound I cut a piece of blue cs to the same size as my card and taped it down. I used tape on the straight edge of he grass only so I could slide a cloud down there. I taped the clouds down and then used foam tape on the birds and banner to pop them off the card a bit :)

Fiskars Asian Inspired Lantern Cards
These cards were made using the Chinese lantern from the Fiskars Asian Inspired stamp set. I stamped the lantern onto watercolour paper with Jet Black Stazon and then water coloured them with distress markers. I fussy cut around each lantern.
I then grabbed some DCWV white core cs in a nice yellow colour trimmed to card size and ran it through my bug with the Cuttlebug Lanterns embossing folder. I then used my Tim Holtz sanding block to sand the raised images and show the white core of the cs. I adhered the lanterns with foam squares and they were finished . . .
Well they should have been finished hahaha. One card I stuck the embossed base on the card upside down so I had to fix that. That's bad enough, however the next card I not only stuck the base upside down, I stuck the lanterns on the base upside down as well . . . I took my heat tool and heated everything up so the tape would release easier and fixed it all up lol . . .

Pattern Play Day 5 Paper Weaving With Crate Paper
For this card I used leftover strips from my first attempt at day one which I haven't posted yet lol. They just need sentiments. The strips are from Crate Papers Random paper pad. I used a scrap piece of cardstock to adhere my strips to as I weaved. I really liked Jennifer McGuire's Bonus day card she made by just rounding two corners of her shapes and decided I would do that on a larger scale. I followed this through with the card as well. The rounder is just one from my local Office Works store.
I kept wrecking the banners I was making for this card so in the end I totally changed what I was going to do and added buttons instead of the Enamel accents I was going to use. The buttons on the banner are tied with pink Hemptique twine that I got in a cool multi pack of 10-12 colours. (I learnt I need to keep them in a zip lock back to keep them clean! They were getting filthy rolling around in the craft box I take to a friends lol).
I also added a little heart button in the corner. Wish I had had the twine brain wave before I glued it down lol. Anyways woohoo I did all 5 days of Pattern Play. I still have the other attempt at day one to blog about too :)

Pattern Play Day Three Using Antique Rose Papers
For day three of Pattern Play I decided to try out Kristina Werners tips. I chose a paper from the KaiserCraft Antique Rose collection and cut it into 2cm strips. I used an off cut from another card with some washi tape to make a straight edge to help me layout and adhere my strips of paper.
Next I grabbed a Cuttlebug Cut and Emboss folder. I am not sure what it's called sorry :( but it makes some lovely labels. I grabbed a subtle pp from the antique rose pad to make my label. I tried using distress stain to highlight the raised edges but that didn't work very well. Later I used some snow cap paint dabber mixed with a little water on the raised edges. The sentiment is from Inkadinkados Chelsea Sentiments.
Next I decide it looked a little plain so I cut a butterfly from the same pp as the background with Tim Holtz's movers and shapers from Sizzix. I chose a piece that was mostly blue so I could bring that colour in a bit more instead of it just being a little bit on the edge. I added some orange bling to the centre with Matte Accents as my Multi-Medium Matte ran away lol. I felt it could do with that little bit extra . . .
I used a small strip of foam tape to raise the butterfly off the label a little bit. I was very overwhelmed with how bold and bright this paper is, but I have to say I think I like how this card turned out :)

Pattern Play Day Two Using Prima And Porta Crafts
Day two of pattern play and chose to emulate Jennifer Rzasa today. I borrowed a friends stamp set because it had some lovely big giant flowers in it. You are supposed to stamp one of each of the designs but they don't actually line up so instead I stamped four of the second largest flower on Prima Inamorato pp from the Cavalier Collection.
I then fussy cut the four layers to make my dimensional rose. The stamp set is from Porta Crafts 3D collection. I guess it's just called rose or something as it doesn't have a name on the packet . . .
Next I decided I wanted to use the leaf stamp to fussy cut some leaves. I used more Prima paper, this time I used Rue 88 Cafe Diamant and then fussy cut them. I used Jet Black Archival for the flower and leaves.
I layered the rose using foam tape between each layer as well as underneath. The leaves are double sided taped down. The sentiment is stamped with Deep Purple Archival.
I couldn't help it. I am back in the bling thing lol. I used it once and now it's probably going to be on everything! Everything is better with bling!

Aged Mahogany Ladies With Hats
Now I was at my friends house and only had one chunky waterbrush with me so colouring her was fun! I also only had my ink pads with me this day so I used the stamp pad direct to my craft sheet and then spritzed with water to make my watercolour.
Her clothes, hat and lips are all aged mahogany, even the light piece in the middle. Her face is a combination of Spun Sugar and Antique Linen. Darn sorry I can't remember what colour her hair is :( I fussy cut around her (the big brush made a bit of a mess) and die cut her in plain white cs and glued them together with Multi-Medium Matte.
I used the label from the HeroArts/Sizzix Frames With Sprigs set and stamped it with aged mahogany again. I did all my cutting in my trusty Cuttlebug. I wanted to make this say Happy Mothers Day but I only have one stamp that says that and it is far too big! So I stamped a Fiskars sentiment from the Family stamp set and embossed it with ranger clear superfine. I will use the big stamp I have from Inkadinkado in the middle instead :) I used foam tape to add both to my card base, the image tape is double the height of the one I used for the label.
Three posts in one day. That's what I get for being lazy and not posting over the last three days haha!

A Special Delivery In Shades of Green
I started off with this cute Penny Johnson stamp called A Special Delivery which I stamped in Jet Black Archival on Neenah Solar White cs.
He is coloured using greens and a hint of yellow in there for good measure lol. The colours I used are Green Gold #268 for his hair, Light Yellow Glaze #104 for his shoes, Leafy Green #112 for his jacket and hat, Dark Phthalo Green #264 for his jacket trim, hat bill and shoes, Light Green #171 for the teeny bit of his shirt that is showing and May Green #170 for his pants. His face is Light Flesh #132. I used the same colours for the presents with some Light Phthalo Green #162 added in as well. The puppy is coloured in Raw Umber #180. I coloured the dog using short strokes to try and add some texture to the dog, didn't quite work out though lol. Colouring is a huge learning curve!
For this background I used my stampamajig to position the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous numbers stamp from the Fairytale Frenzy set. I used my markers again (was wishing I had taken my Big Brush markers to my friends that day lol) to colour the stamp, then misted with water before stamping the first one. As I was using the pitt artists pens on a pretty hot day the ink dried out pretty fast on the first one. Thank goodness for my stampamajig! Had to stamp it three times lol. But I learnt after the first one colour fast and mist extra!
I mounted each layer onto some green swirly and shimmery cs picked up from a local cheapy shop. Then mounted the whole lot on a white cs card base slightly smaller than the green as I liked how it looked without an extra white border. I actually coloured him twice as the first time the green went a little onto the yellow star. So I was going to cut a star and foam tape it but silly me stamped on the original image :( lol.

To The One I Love with Midnight Fairytale
Hi guys and gals :) I have a card to share that I made for the Make My Monday challenge. This is only the second time I have actively made something for a challenge lol. Usually I just work whatever I am making fit into challenges or go with anything goes . . .
I started with a circle cut with lifestyle craft dies and stamped a fairy from the Papermania Midnight Fairytale stamp set. I then used the metallic green, blue and purple gelatos to create a water colour wash for the background. I covered the whole background with purple then blended in the blue and green.
I then traced the lines of the fairy with Faber-Castell Pitt Artist pens and then used similar coloured gelatos to make a watercolour palette to fill her in. i then used a homemade mix of gloss Multi-Medium and iridescent Medium over her wings. I used Seedless Preserves and Evergreen Bough to edge the circle. The doily was inked with those colours as well as Tumbled Glass and then spritzed and blotted to lighten the colour. I just love the subtle dreamy colours so pretty in real life!
The I am Roses flowers were coloured with the same three ink pads again. I smooshed them on my craft mat and used a waterbrush to colour them. I then took the metallic gelatos and ran the flat Tim Holtz waterbrush over the colour corresponding to the flower and brushed along the edges of the petals to darken them and give them a hint of shimmer. All flowers and twizzles are stuck down with glossy accents.
The label is a Tim Holtz mover and shaper coloured with three metallic gelato colours. The sentiment is from the Craft Lounge Love notes set. I had trouble deciding on a sentiment for this one. I have a lot of birthday and thank you cards. I wanted to make an anniversary card or something like that anyways. I have no to my wife sentiments and nothing quite fitted. I thought this was pretty versatile as it could then be used as a birthday, anniversary, valentine or even wedding day card.
The doily was layered on a square scrap I couldn't bare to throw away because the paper was so pretty, it actually had a circle I used on another card cut out of the middle! I was going to use it as a frame but it looked so good behind the doily I used it lol. Both papers are from the Prima Fairy Belle 6" pad. The background piece has been distressed around the edges with seedless preserves on top, tumbled glass on the sides and evergreen bough on the bottom.
On a side note I am halfway through my studies yay and am now on a bit of a break so hopefully I can get some important things done as well as do some guilt free crafting! I have signed up to a new card class starting in a couple of weeks too called Stretch Your Stamps, I can't wait! Check it out, it starts on July 9th but you can sign up anytime. Have a Blast with Sizzix
Hi
Today I am showing you a cute rocket card I made show casing Sizzix Hot Rocketz stamps. I started by stamping my images onto white cs with Jet Black Stazon and then colouring with different pitt artist markers. I added the shadows with the same coloured marker once the first layer was dry. I then cut them all out and added some foam tape.
For the background I used all of the different stars in the packet on a stamp block and stamped with the yellow big brush marker. I filled in the gaps with some of the smaller stamps. The sentiments are stamped with markers and then cut out with ovals from lifestyle crafts. Both layers are raised with foam tape to give them even more dimension.
Hope you enjoyed my Boy birthday card. I think it turned out really well :)
