My last card for day 8 for Stretch Your Stamps 2 at Online Card Classes and then I best get hopping on projects for the last three days haha . . . I used an itty petal stamp from the See Dee's stamp set and Fired Brick Distress Ink as well as Archival ink for the sentiment from Mpress. This is a super super quick card to make if you're in a hurry and you can cheat and just use a heart stamp if you want lol, I was tempted!

Stretch Your Stamps 2 Combo Card
Hiya, for this card from Stretch Your Stamps 2 at Online Card Classes I used a combination of Techniques from two differtent cards. I used From the creator as well as a little paper piecing.
For this card I used stamps from Fiskars (alphabet), TPC Studio (elephant), Hero Arts (greeting) and See Dee's (balloons) with Archival ink and Dylusions as well as Distress Ink in Tumbled Glass, Squeezed Lemonade and Pumice Stone. Really need practice doing these, guess I am using too much water, but it's kind of sweet :)

Revisiting My Butterfly Canvas
Ok so last year I did a post Here about a butterfly canvas... What most people didn't know was that I wasn't wholly happy with it and the butterflies and bling weren't stuck down! lol. I had known all along I was going to give it to my friend for her birthday which was last week. So yep, you guessed it, I pulled it back out again and set to work
I added a stencilled border around the outside with Royal Purple Stazon and Tim Holtz' Honeycomb stencil, changed the lighter butterflies bling to a pale pink as well as the antennae and blinged out the background for a more finished look!
Hope you enjoyed the revisit!

Purple Tattered Angel Butterfly Canvas
Hi everyone :) This week it's my turn to host the Eclectic Ellapu challenge. My challenge is shades of PURPLE with the main focus being butterflies. I would also like to see one of the following, brads buttons or bling. Bling can take the form of anything from shimmer mists to rhinestones and anything in between :)
I started by grabbing my purple distress supplies. I used Milled Lavender, Shaded Lilac, Dusty Concord and Seedless Preserves in both stain form and ink pads. I also used Brushed Pewter Distress Stain for some sparkle. Onto some watercolour paper I used Royal Purple Stazon to stamp my Tattered Angels In Flight Butterfly. I used a distress stain bottle to shape the wings.
I then used the stains on my craft mat with a spritz of water to colour the butterflies with my Tim Holtz waterbrush . The lightest colour is milled lavender, the middle colour is dusty concord and the outer colour is seedless preerves. I used my gathered twigs ink pad to colour the butterfly bodies.
For the canvas I laid down my five stains randomly and then spritzed with water. I used paper towel to blot the excess and lighten the background up a bit. The paper towel helped to give a nice texture as well. I then used dusty concord and seedless preserves around the edges.
I then used the butterfly stencil from Tattered Angels Fanciful Stencils and a sponge dauber with milled lavender and inked the inside parts of the stencil. I then used the stamp again with the milled lavender to stamp over each butterfly. I wasn't looking to line things up perfectly, just to add a bit of interest to the background.
I used See Dee's Monarch stamps over the background. For the large flourish I started with my lightest colour at the top (lilac) then added dusty to the middle and seedless at the bottom (worked lightest to darkest). I then stamped some of the butterflies with seedless.
I used a home made glimmer glaze all over the butterflies for some serious sparkle. It consists of iridescent medium, triple thick and a little water. If you ever need more sparkle try some iridescent medium! Love that stuff. I then did two coats of triple thick over them and left them to dry for 24hrs.
I used some beading wire and 2 or 3mm Miracle Beads to make antennae for my butterflies. I used some tape to hold them on the back. I added some rhinestones to the butterfly wings and some dangly butterfly charms from the body. The charms were coloured with promarkers and copics.
I wanted to add words but have hit a brick wall lol . . . I know where I want to add them but am not sure if it will ruin the piece or even really how to add them in so they don't. For now I am leaving as is and if I get a brainwave I will add them if not, well I guess it's done lol.
Hope you enjoyed another canvas. Next week will be something different, promise!

I had to add this pic so you could see how the iridescent medium sparkles! It doesn't show up so much in the other pics. You can also see a lil of the sparkle on the canvas itself from the brushed pewter stain . . .

Washi Tape Card and Vintage Ladies
Hi
Quick stop by to show you a couple more cards I have made recently.
The first has a Washi tape boarder. I recently bought a 10 pack of Washi tape from Sawyer's Place and wanted to make a card with it. I chose the plain dark blue and edged a white card base with it and built my card up from there.
The stamp is from a huge See Dee's Box Set that was bought a good while ago. It almost perfectly matches the pp right down to the hat. I coloured the stamp with Faber-Castell Big Brush Markers. After I stamped her I used my finger to push the colour around. I added some burgundy ribbon and stamped the sentiment with the same marker as my ladies dress. I cut the sentiment with a Lifestyle Crafts Labels die and adhered it with foam tape for dimension. I then coloured an I Am Roses rose with the Big Brush Marker and spritzed with home made glimmer mist (need to work quickly before the marker dries).
Hope you like my cards :) I totally love my Prima Lady card!

The circle stamp is from kaisercraft Madame Boutique as is the background vine stamp. I grabbed the thinking of you from a random stamp set. Can't remember which off the top of my head and cut it with a lifestyle crafts oval die. I used tumbled glass and broken china distress inks. The flower is an I am roses flower edged with distress stain and spritzed with home made glimmer mist.
This next card is for my mum for her birthday. I just love the vinatgey feel of this card. I started with the pp from the Prima Romantique 6x6 pad and worked from there.

12 Cards of Christmas T!m Holtz Style Card 4
Well i have completed cards four, five and six. Six is a headache because I do not like it so I am sure I will change it lol. This is my inspiration for card four from T!m.
Card 4
Well this one took me a while to make. Lots of layers and small steps lol. So bear with me and we will get this show on the road.
Ok so first I took some clear packaging (from lifestyle craft dies) and used it with my Sizzix On The Edge Scrollwork die.
Then I used some Snow Cap paint dabber to define the edges a little bit and added a thin strip of double sided tape for later.
Using my Ecraft I used a christmas tree svg I already had and added the number 25 to it in SCAL 3, I cut it out of grungepaper. I forgot to take the blade cap off so forgive the ragedy edges lol.
I covered the tree in Peeled Paint Distress Stain then went around the edges with Pine Needles. I added some Brushed Corduroy to the stump but decided it was too light and went over it with Walnut Stain. To add a teeny bit of sparkle I brushed on some interference red Pearl-Ex.
I grabbed my jar oof Rock Candy crackle paint and generously covered the tree with it and set aside to dry for a good long while.
I then started on my background. Using Pine Needles, fired Brick and Picket Fence Distress Stains I laid a generous amount down on my craft sheet. I sprayed my cardstock with water and then dragged it through the colours.
I used a flourish stamp from See Dee's Monarch set and Picket Fence Distress Stain to stamp some flourish's on my background.
I then used various Fiskars stamps from the Vintage Christmas set with Pine Needles and Fired Brick Distress Stains. Some of the stamps are missing as my daughter has been using them for her christmas cards lol.
I distressed the edges of my background first with Pine Needles, then with Fired brick.
Once the tree had crackled I removed the excess from around the edges and from inside the number. I grabbed a small piece of Kaisercraft paper and glued it behind the numbers. I then filled the numbers in with glossy accents. I cannot tell you how many times I had to fix it because it got bumped or I stuck my fingers in it accidentally. Ended up moving it to a nice safe spot lol.
I set that aside to dry overnight and started card five lol. Once thhe tree was dry I found a metal star in my stash, I think it's from Making Memories. I used Metallic Gold mixative to colour the star.
I then grabbed a metal stocking and present from the same Making Memories set and dropped some Alcohol Ink onto them. I used Watermelon on the stocking and Bottle on the present. I added some red seed beads to the christmas tree and foam squares to the back. I added all the elements to the card and bent the plastic border to give it dimension.
Another complete card. Yay! Hope you like this one. It took a lot of effort and I had a few misshaps allong the way lol.
Merry Christmas and Happy Scrappin'
