Creative Chemistry 102 Day 2 Part One Girly Grunge Style

I love how much we learn in Creative Chemistry! So many awesome ideas. Some of the designers really kick it up a notch too! So without further ado lets  get the first technique happening! This is my second attempt as my first didn't go so well lol. I used 3 sizes of punchinella for the spots. Crafters workshop and Prima stencils for the rest.
Mixed Media
I hunted high and low for something I needed to do this technique in the end I winged it with my ebosser! lol Again my first attempt was a major fail!

Gelato Watercolour Stamping.

Both these cards are stamped using Gelatos from Faber Castell. The first card uses a Stampin' Up stamp. I coloured the inside with pink first and then used purple around the edges and green for the leaves and stems. I lightly misted the stamp with water and stamped, repeating this three times. I used distress ink with my ink blending tool around the edges. The background is a leftover from Creative Chemistry 101. On my yellow card base I stamped the Prima Notary stamp I coloured with Big Brush Markers.

My second card is actually a second and third generation stamping. My daughter wanted to try my Gelatos and she picked an Mpress stamp set. There was so much gelato left on the stamp I didn't  want to waste it so I grabbed some water colour paper, misted the stamp and stamped, re-misted and stamped again. I then scribbled some of the purple and pink gelatos on my Ranger Craft Sheet and spritzed them with water. I picked them up with a paintbrush and flicked them all over the image. With the leftover gelato on my craft sheet I created a border of the two colours.

I am not the best at stamping with gelatos. I need to do some more work at it lol. But so many techniques, so little time!

Creative Chemistry 101 Day Ten Finished Projects

Lucky last. Not sure how I feel about this one. Think I need to watch some tattered florals flower making tuts lol. I turned this one into a mothers day card seeing as that is coming up in May for us in Australia.

The flower is made with all four layers of the tattered florals die from grungepaper. Coloured with a combo of ranger pigment inks and and stazon. Then they have been rock candied and shimmer painted.

A close up of the flower and the swarovski danglies and rose at the end. The flower centre is a Making Memories bling brad.

The background stamp is from stampin' up.
Well that's all folks. All for now at any rate. Got loads of study and cleaning in the next week. Having a visitor from the UK over and modules due on Thursday lol. Busy Busy. I have a few blogs ready to post though and I am sure I will be about :)

Creative Chemistry 101 Day Nine Finished Projects

Perfect Pearls . . . Yay I love sparkly things lol. I know I am acting a lil crazier than normal . . . It's after 3am lol I should be sleeping not posting! My youngest is sick asleep on the lounge so I fell a little behind plus I need to stay up for her anyhow . . . lol

My perfect pearl card is pretty simple. I didn't want to cover up the pic so I just added a lil sentiment to the corner. The sentiment was a leftover from my Autumn card lol. Might add a layer of shimmery glaze over the top of it at some point.

Took me a while staring at the image to decide I didn't want to hide it. lol

Creative Chemistry 101 Day Eight Finished Projects

I have two projects for day 8. One is bright and cheery the other is in more earthy tonesof brown and orange. A nice Autumn card considering it is Autumn in Australia right now :) maybe that's why I keep reaching for the orange. Could also be all the Harmony day learning the kids have been doing at school lol.

My Autumn colours card with a grungeboard flower. The leaves were cut with my ecraft from book pages and distressed.

The butterflys have had some triple thick painted over the top. It did react with the inks of course but I likes it :) The sentiment is from the Fiskars Butterfly Dreams set. "Butterfly kisses and birthday wishes"

And yes . . .  More Bling lol. Can there ever be too much?

Creative Chemistry 101 Day Six Finished Projects

I have two to share for day 6, distress markers :) I could have also added this to day 5 for distress stains because of the background lol . . .

The first card is almost camoish lol. I am definitely expanding my horizons colour wise lately. Greens? OMG Camo greens at that lol . . . I do like how it turned out though :)

I added some baubles and a happy birthday sentiment to this one. For both I have used Day 5 backgrounds that I made. I made loads. I have a whole pile of backgrounds still to use from all the days lol.

Loving the variety of looks you can get with so few supplies too. For many of the techniques you can swap out what you don't have for what you do. :)

Creative Chemistry 101 Day Five Finished Projects

Day 5 almost halfway there :). I recently got a stamp set that well to be honest I really didn't like the focal image but I love the rest of the stamps. The focal image is a big giant head. What on earth do you do with a big giant head stamp??? lol. Let's have a look shall we?

I thought this would be a good graduation stamp but as I don't seem to have any graduation stamps I went for congratulations instead. Apart from the sentiment all the stamps are from the one stamp set, Artful Artifacts by Stampers Anon. Is a T!im set of course . . .

Considering I used a stamp I never thought I would I think the card turned out pretty darned well.

Creative Chemistry 101 Day Four Finished Projects

Hiya Only one for this day at the moment. Hey I can only do so much creating you know :P . . .

The butterfly and flowers are from recollections. I added some Hero Arts bling to the butterfly and the flowers to give the card a little lift. The base is marbled cs that almost perfectly matches the tattered rose distress ink. the sentiment is from Hero Arts.

Creative Chemistry 101 Day Three Finished Projects

Hmm fitting three projects for day 3 lol . . . I had some trouble with the alcohol ink one but figured out what I was doing and saved one I hated :) It was as simple as too much blending solution.

The first is the embossing folder technique, I added some brads and a lock and key from the Idea-ology range.

The next is a lion on the alcohol inked background. All things considered her turned out pretty well :) I added some beads down the side for a bit of extra interest.

Another alcohol inked one. This one is on the background I saved. I kept it clean and simple just adding a sticker sentiment.

Told you these posts would be short and sweet! :) lol

Creative Chemistry 101 Day Ten

Last day :( and only one pic to upload today and wow . . . I have to say I was not a fan of distress stickles until today . . . But after using the rock candy for this technique I have changed my tune. They are sooooo pretty!! :)

So here is my last project for Creative Chemistry 101. The pics aren't showing all the sparkle or you wouldn't see the image behind.

But you get the idea. the little glimmers you can see are all over the image :)

I had to choose girly colours for my last one as I have used such of variety of colours over the last two weeks I wanted something that looked very girly... Mothers day card perhaps? OOO ideas happening. I need to finish a couple of cards off then you will be bombarded by new blogs, hopefully one for each day of CC101. Don't forget it's not too late to take the classes and you don't need to have everything ranger to do them, Tim actively encourages you to use your stash!!!

Creative Chemistry 101 Day Nine

Second last day... Getting there :) Perfect pearls!

Anyone who knows me knows I love all things shiny. I have both pearl ex and perfect pearls lol and bling out the wazoo...

My spray mists are not made with reinker tsk tsk as I love using my colour wash for mists and tend to make up bigger batches, usually around 50ml as I use mists a lot.

I love this technique. How pretty it is :)

So I had to do it twice ;) lol

2nd generation

First Gen

Second Gen

It's really a balancing act between too much and not enough water. I completely washed one out with too much lol

But the result is so pretty I did two. . .

I would make the whole world sparkly if I could! just give me a giant glitter shaker and some wings!!! Hahaha. I will definitely be using these techniques again that's for sure :) There was one I hadn't tried before and now I have I likes it!! :)

Only one more day to upload. I finished that one just before writing up this post to post later lol...

Creative Chemistry 101 Day Eight

Almost there! :) What an adventure this has been. I can say I have loads of extra's I haven't made into anything yet. But I do have 11 complete cards so far to show you later :)

Day 8 was paint. I still have one work in progress. I used milled lavender for my crackle and am ho hum about it lol... But it still needs some distressing so we shall see how it turns out :)

So my first two are okish but is a bit hard to see the resist in normal light. This is because it is unprimed canvas (I don't have any sticky back). Next time I will prime first! I like the colours though :)

Butterflys! swoon lol I misted this one with water so that the white would pop more...

Ok even more butterflys. This is the technique on plain old cs. As the canvas wasn't working thought I would try this lol. Love how it turned out!

Ok ones just a lil dark lol. Was too busy haaving a chat ;) and forgot to dab the flowers lol.

Ok so rather than post without the last pic I decided to suck it up and post lol... Had a bit of problem with my sticky stamp lifting the crackle pain but I think it adds to the distressed look :) lol

So we are close to the end :( Hopefully there will be another class at some point!

Creative Chemistry 101 Day Five

I have up to day 5 on my puter so thought I would jot down another quick post before I upload and sort days 6-10 lol. If my blogging is anything to go by at the moment (very disorganised) imagine my craft space is all I can say! Haha :)

I found no matter how much colour I put down I needed to spray my cs first. Might need to rewatch and see what I am doing wrongs haha . . .

Below is first gen but as you can see I am moping every last lil juicy scrap off my mat. The lighter ones of these are 2nd generation. The colours are just so vibrant!

Premisted.

No water.

Splatter attack!

I had a very small piece of what I assume to be craft paper, as I haven't bought any yet to play with and made my own resist paper . . . I am totally in love with it.  Wish I had some more of the paper. The pics  really don't do justice to the real thing.

The look is somewhere in between these two I think lol

If your playing along with Tim I hope you are having fun and learning loads too :)
