I am really struggling with this technique as you will see in a minute lol . . . Firstly I don't have many leaf stamps and my brain wasn't working on alternatives like it has for other days, secondly the paper wasn't staying wet as fast as I misted it the water soaked in pretty much lol. Darn Aussie heat! And of course am still using the plaid one stroke which don't hold a point well. Anyway here it is...
More practice required!

Watercolor For Cardmakers Intermediate Day Three - Lifting
Hi, I know, tonnes of posts all at once... Sorry lol. I am using my phone net to do most of this so hope I don't go over haha! Extra big bill... So again I don't have the right paper for this technique and am still using Plaid One Stroke brushes that honestly just don't cut it for these types of techniques. For the following lifting attempts I used Rangers watercolour paper and I'm not 100% sure which watercolours set lol. Attempt one.
Attempt two.
I really am seeing how paper and brushes play a big part in these techniques! Attempt three
Hopefully I'm improving! Still struggling with leaves but I think better brushes will help!

A Little Dylisions Goes A Long Way
So what happens when you spill Calypso Teal Dylusions over your almost finished project? lol. That's what happened to me here . . . I tried to tip some back into the bottle and made an even bigger mess on my floor as well. Thank you Ultra Clean stamp cleaner for getting it off the lino.
I have to say the Ranger/Tim Holtz watercolour paper is the best I have tried. Love love love it. I used some paper towel to blot off the puddle of dylusions and now if I hadn't told you you wouldn't know it was a huge oopsie! The paper can really take a lot of water without breaking down and pilling.
The flowers and elephant are stamped with Archival ink. The flowers are coloured with Dylusions and Glimmer mist. The elephant is coloured with Copics and a lil Atyou Spica for some extra sparkle :) He is also paper pieces to add some dimension.

Stretch Your Stamps 2 Layered Heat Embossing
Woooohoooo I made it to play day! For my first card for the last day of Stretch Your Stamps 2 at Online Card Classes I used a Kaisercraft sentiment Rangers with Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel in Platinum as well as their Red Embossing Tinsel. Lol short and sweet . . . My only advice is don't drop your panel while it's still hot, don't ask how I know ;)

Stretch Your Stamps 2 Watercolour Spotlight
Hi we are at the bonus day and the final stretch of Stretch Your Stamps 2 at Online Card Classes. Panicking a bit as I have 6 cards still to make (I wanted to do more but time is of the essence lol) in the next 24 hours lol. Sorry in advance for the glut of close together posts!
So the storu behind this card and the next one is that I had a specific stamp set I wanted to use that I put somewhere so I could find it . . . and promptly lost it lol. I had to borrow some stamps off my friend to do this one, but may after class finishes now that I found my stamps in a spot I looked five times I will make this card with my original vision.
I have used Stazon Jet Black to stamp my stamps, the sentiment is from Kaisercraft and the flowers are freebies off a mag I think but I'm not really sure. I used Dylusions, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists and a home made glimmer mist as well. Oh and it's on Ranger Watercolor Cardstock, my new fave watercolour cs! I need to get the hang of this technique a bit more.

Stretch Your Stamps 2 Mist Resist
This background is so sparkly! Think I got a little too happy with Mr Huey's gold mist lol. Still on day 1 of SYS2 at Online Card Classes. The background stamp is Floral Background from Stampin' Up used with Hero Arts Seafoam embossing powder. I used spellbinders dies for the die cut piece and the sentiment. I used Ranger Gold Embossing powder on the sentiment too.

AquaMarker Play Time
Sooooo i got the whole set of AquaMarkers for Christmas :) How lucky am I? I decided to have a play so these are just me exploring the aquamarkers.
Stampendous Amaryllis
and Hero Arts Large Flower Background.
So hopefully when I use these on some cards I will have something pretty to show you :) Our DT has been all shook up so my card for that won't post til next week . . . but as a sneak peak . . .
How gorgeous is that stamp . . . I got it free in a mag. OK, so the only reason I got the mag was for the stamp, lol.

Creative Chemistry Day 4 Girly Grunge Style
Man oh man I love alcohol inks :) So versatile and in all the colours of the rainbow and then some lol. Anyway lets get some pics up in here!
No tinsel for me cry! So skip that and lets get some Ombre happening lol. I am not sure how these turned out to be honest lol. I also did one in blues but I didn't take a good pic lol. They are all blurry . . .
And last but not least. I struggled a bit with this one. I need some more stencils! The first one was too thin but I still god a cool design! So I went back to my trusty punchinella for the second one.
Ok that's another day over and done!

Gelato Watercolour Stamping.
Both these cards are stamped using Gelatos from Faber Castell. The first card uses a Stampin' Up stamp. I coloured the inside with pink first and then used purple around the edges and green for the leaves and stems. I lightly misted the stamp with water and stamped, repeating this three times. I used distress ink with my ink blending tool around the edges. The background is a leftover from Creative Chemistry 101. On my yellow card base I stamped the Prima Notary stamp I coloured with Big Brush Markers.
I am not the best at stamping with gelatos. I need to do some more work at it lol. But so many techniques, so little time!

Prickley Pear Funky Butterfly Cards
I have two cards to share today both in the same style. One is coloured and one is black and white. Both use the Prickley Pear co-ordinating Butterfly die and stamp sets. I coloured the first one by using Faber-Castell Big Brush Markers on my Ranger craft mat and spritzing them with a little water to make pretty watercolours :) Both Cards have been stamped with Black Archival ink and have been cut to fit a standard card size envelope.
You achieve this look by first positioning your die on the folded edge of you card with a portion hanging off. It's best to use some low tack tape ( I use florist tape) to stop the die moving about. Position the card and die on the edge of you cutting plate so that only the portion you want cut is on the plate itself, use the fold as a guide line. I use more tape to hold it exactly in place. Run through your die cut machine ( I have a cuttlebug but it will work in any) and adhere your stamped butterfly using the opening as your guide and embellish to finish.
You can do this with any shaped die and once you get the hang of it it's a quick fun technique to make a card :) Let me know if you would like a video tutorial . . .

Pattern Play Day 5 Paper Weaving With Crate Paper
For this card I used leftover strips from my first attempt at day one which I haven't posted yet lol. They just need sentiments. The strips are from Crate Papers Random paper pad. I used a scrap piece of cardstock to adhere my strips to as I weaved. I really liked Jennifer McGuire's Bonus day card she made by just rounding two corners of her shapes and decided I would do that on a larger scale. I followed this through with the card as well. The rounder is just one from my local Office Works store.
I kept wrecking the banners I was making for this card so in the end I totally changed what I was going to do and added buttons instead of the Enamel accents I was going to use. The buttons on the banner are tied with pink Hemptique twine that I got in a cool multi pack of 10-12 colours. (I learnt I need to keep them in a zip lock back to keep them clean! They were getting filthy rolling around in the craft box I take to a friends lol).
I also added a little heart button in the corner. Wish I had had the twine brain wave before I glued it down lol. Anyways woohoo I did all 5 days of Pattern Play. I still have the other attempt at day one to blog about too :)

Pattern Play Day Four With Candy Lane
First I have trimmed down my stripey piece and am going to choose some stickles to decorate it. If anyone wants measurements they can ask in comments :)After some deliberation with miss 8 who decided she wanted to help we have chosen Eucalyptus Stickles to add some pizazz to our pp.
Next I chose a pink tone on tone spotted scrap piece from the same stack as an accent. I used my Martha Stewart Pop-Up Butterflies border punch along one edge and then trimmed it down so I just had a little edge to add adhesive to. I have kept the little butterflies that fell out just in case I want to use them.
Next I used a piece of green spotty paper and stamped it with Picked Raspberry Distress ink and added a piece of scrap cs to the back. I stamped the sentiment from TPC Studio with my stamp press. I then traced over dreams with an Emboss pen and embossed with Ranger Clear embossing powder. I added some of the itty butterflies I kept earlier. I am going to add some Glossy accents to those butterflies too when I find it lol. Will add another pic when I do.
This card drove me nuts, I kept losing everything. What didn't roll off my work surface was blown away by the fan because it;s very hot her right now lol.

Pattern Play Day Two Using Prima And Porta Crafts
Day two of pattern play and chose to emulate Jennifer Rzasa today. I borrowed a friends stamp set because it had some lovely big giant flowers in it. You are supposed to stamp one of each of the designs but they don't actually line up so instead I stamped four of the second largest flower on Prima Inamorato pp from the Cavalier Collection.
I then fussy cut the four layers to make my dimensional rose. The stamp set is from Porta Crafts 3D collection. I guess it's just called rose or something as it doesn't have a name on the packet . . .
Next I decided I wanted to use the leaf stamp to fussy cut some leaves. I used more Prima paper, this time I used Rue 88 Cafe Diamant and then fussy cut them. I used Jet Black Archival for the flower and leaves.
I layered the rose using foam tape between each layer as well as underneath. The leaves are double sided taped down. The sentiment is stamped with Deep Purple Archival.
I couldn't help it. I am back in the bling thing lol. I used it once and now it's probably going to be on everything! Everything is better with bling!

KaiserCraft Lullaby Baby Card
I made this card using the sketch at Freshly made again and combined it with the challenge at Eclectic Ellapu. This one was quick and easy as most of the work was done by the Kaisercraft Lullaby paper pad itself :) Here is the sketch . . .
I chose two papers from thee stack and a co-ordinating scallop die cut from the back of the pad. I also chose a scalloped saying. I mounted the circle on a Lifestyle Crafts Nesting Circle Doily with foam tape. I also used foam tape between the doily die and the pp.

The Baby Boy stamp is from the KaiserCraft Lullaby stamp set. I stamped it with Archival ink in French Ultramarine and then quickly covered with ranger superfine embossing powder and embossed it.
I added a strip of white cs between the scallop and pp and then decided the whole thing looked to plain and added some bling with Matte Multi-Medium. Some were sticky backed but they just would not stay put lol. I really like this sketch! It makes making a card a breeze!Happy Scrappin'

Clementine Pattern Play Day 1
Well I guess everyone knows by now how much I like to combine my challenges. This card rolls a few into one and includes the Pattern Play class I am doing at Online Card Classes. I started with this sketch from Freshly Made . . .
I started by picking my papers, I did this with two thoughts in mind, two green challenges, a monochromatic challenge and a friendship card all rolled into one. Anyway the papers I chose are from the Cosmo Cricket Clementine stack.
I then used the Tim Holtz Butterflies On The Edge die on the pp with the leaf shapes. Then I trimmed it down to fit across the top of the card and taped it to the back of the darker green on green circle pp. I then used a strip of white cs as a colour break.
Next I cut the lightest paper with another movers and shapers die, I used the larger of the two tickets. I stamped inside the ticket with Mowed Lawn Distress ink with a Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz sentiment with my new fiskars stamp press. Not sure what set as I grabbed a bunch of random stamps to craft at a friends lol. To make the words stand out a little more I embossed them with Ranger Superfine clear embossing powder.
I then grabbed a Hero Arts stamp that to stamp on the darker green pp. I used Pine Needles distress ink and embossed with the superfine again. I then taped the butterfly/darker paper onto my white card base. To add the ticket I used foam tape foe some dimension.
I thought it looked a little plain. So I decided to bling it up with some bling from the bottom of the stamp set. Everything is better with a lil bling!
If I was remaking this card I might have tried swapping the lighter herringbone pp with the darker green circles. But at least I followed the rules for choosing paper :)
