This is another super easy technique, I plan to revisit this when i get better brushes! I think I add too many stems though lol.
I used Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles, a random Lifestyle Crafts dies for the rounded rectangle and the sentiment is from Stampendous' Hot Rocketz.

Watercolor For Cardmakers Intermediate Day 5 - Card One
Watercolor For Cardmakers Intermediate Day Six - Dipped Florals Card
These are the quick and easy flowers Jenifer showed us on the last day of class. I wanted to keep the card pretty clean and simple.
I made two cards very quickly.
I rounded the corners with my WRMK Corner Chomper and mounted the panel on an Xcut die cut. I stamped the sentiment from Hero Arts Birthday Sayings in Archival Jet Black ink.
Thanks for taking the time to look!

Watercolor For Cardmakers Intermediate Day Two - Simple Round Brush Flowers Card
I still love how quick and easy these flowers are! I tuned this mini panel into a mini Thank You card.
I used a Spellbinders die to make the panel prettier, a Heo Arts sentiment and Donna Salazar Colorbox ink in Patina. I freehand cut the banner :)
Thanks for looking.

Watercolor For Cardmakers Intermediate Day 2 - Wet on Dry Roses Take 2
I revisited this technique as I finally got a block of Saunders Waterford paper, not the same hot pressed as used in class. I am however a lot happier with how this one turned out :) Layer one.
Layer Two.
I used Royal Langnickel tubes, Plaid One Stroke Brushes and Saunders Waterford Cold pressed paper. I think this one is an improvement on my first few goes and the paper is playing a big part!

Watercolor For Cardmakers Intermediate Day 5 Card Example One
Hey again, I really love this technique, it's so quick and easy. I know I overwork mine but I still love how they turned out. This is all done using a simple brush stroke and a round brush!
I used Prima Bloom Watercolour paper, #12 Plaid One Stroke Round Brush, and Royal Langnickel tubes.
For this one I used the Windsor & Newton Cotman watercolours.
I can't wait to turn these into cards. I did as Jennifer suggested and used smaller panels to make these paintings. Much less intimidating!

Watercolor For Cardmakers Intermediate Day Six - Dipped Florals
So this is the last day of classes. . . But really that's ok. The classes were jam packed full of so much information and technique I couldn't keep up! Especially as it wasn't until the end of the week that I managed to snag some Arches Cold Pressed 300gsm paper and I am eagerly awaiting my Saunders Waterford block. I have done what I can with the papers I have but it's been a challenge. I haven't been able to keep papers wet for some techniques. As I keep saying plaid brushes haven't been the best for these techniques either and well I am noticing that in class if you dry a wash it shouldn't lft when you go over it... Well it does if your paint is student grade! lol Here is my practice sheet on Monte Marte 180gsm.
and these are a couple I did on Arches.
I used a combination of Royal and Langnickel tubes, Windsor & Newton Cotmans and Brushos.
Hopefully I can get a couple of cards done with my finished bases :)

Watercolor For Cardmakers Intermediate Day Five - Expressive Florals
This is by far my most favourite day! I had a play along with the first video. I still have a lot of learning to do but these are so much fun! I am having trouble with brush points. Hopefully when I get a couple of good brushes my results will be a little better!
I used Monte Marte 180gsm as well as Arches Cold Pressed 300gsm. I also used my Windsor & Newton Cotman set and my Royal Langnickel tubes. As you an see I'm posting the good, the bad and the ugly! lol

Watercolor For Cardmakers Intermediate Day Three - Lifting
Hi, I know, tonnes of posts all at once... Sorry lol. I am using my phone net to do most of this so hope I don't go over haha! Extra big bill... So again I don't have the right paper for this technique and am still using Plaid One Stroke brushes that honestly just don't cut it for these types of techniques. For the following lifting attempts I used Rangers watercolour paper and I'm not 100% sure which watercolours set lol. Attempt one.
Attempt two.
I really am seeing how paper and brushes play a big part in these techniques! Attempt three
Hopefully I'm improving! Still struggling with leaves but I think better brushes will help!

Watercolor For Cardmakers Intermediate Day 2 - Wet on Dry Roses
I am really struggling with the wet on dry roses. There are a few reasons. First I don't have the right paper (this one is coming), secondly the papers I do have dry super fast which thirdly could be from how hot it is in Australia lol. Also I am using Plaid One Stroke brushes as that's all I have in a big size... While they look like roses they are not soft and pretty like they should be... This is attempts one and two.
Three
My leaves leave a lot to be desired lol. Oh well practice makes perfect.

Watercolor For Cardmakers Intermediate Day Two - Variegated Wash
The funny thing with the washes is that I actually started doing them pre class when I was doing my colour charts. I used the leftover paint on some in a cheap Monte Marte watercolour book to use up my leftover colours. I thought I could cut them up for cards at a later date...
During class I used the colours I attempted to do my butterflies, you will see why later...
Then I switched to Arches Cold Pressed 300gsm paper.
So far I've only actually completed one card which you will see soon, so fingers crossed I can get some more done...

Watercolor For Cardmakers Intermediate Day Two - Simple Round Brush Flowers
I have to say I love love love the simple round brush flowers as they are fairly easy. I had kids watching me do them and then copying :) I started with a full page Monte Marte 180gsm paper with My Cotmans... I learnt a valuable lesson. This paper was very thirsty and I ended up using quarter of a pan of paint :O
Then I used A small Prima Paper with a Semco number 3 brush... Not great for watercolour...
And another smaller go at Monte Marte with Royal Langnickel tubes paints before finally moving onto Arches Cold Pressed.
Unfortunately my prima panel ended up with paint on a corner but I'm hoping I can still salvage it!
